Mancos: Mesa Verde half-day tour review — 4.6 from 33 reviews
It does not go to Four Corners Monument. Nothing on the platform does. The marker is a self-drive stop costing US$8 per person at the gate, with no advance ticket of any kind — that argument in full is on do you need tickets.
The contradiction worth booking around
This is the product on the whole site that comes closest to the thing people search for, and it is the reason the distinction between the Four Corners region and the Four Corners marker gets a paragraph on every page here. The operator describes a viewpoint you can see into all four states from. That is real, and for some readers it is a better afternoon than lying on a disc with a limb in each state.
But ten people reviewed this tour and none of them mentions a viewpoint, a panorama, or the four states at all. Every quote is about the guide. That is not evidence the stop does not happen — it is evidence that the stop is not what people come away talking about. If the four-state view is your reason for booking, ask the operator directly whether it is on the route on your date, because the reviews will not confirm it for you and neither will I.

Both are five-star and both contain a complaint, which is the pattern across this whole site. The first is about where you meet, and it is the kind of detail that costs somebody half an hour on the morning:

Valerie is the more interesting one. This is the half-day tour and lunch is excluded from it, yet she expected a full day and describes a lunch. Whatever happened there, she gave five stars while writing three complaints, which tells you exactly how much weight the star carries. Karin, by contrast, says it was not strenuous — useful next to the climbing described on the 700 Years tour, which is a different product with a different route.
Where the 4.6 comes from
Not from these. All ten quotes I hold are five-star, and ten five-star reviews cannot average 4.6. Somewhere in the other 23 reviews are the ones that pull it down, and I cannot read them. 4.6 from 33 is the lowest rating of the three Mesa Verde tours, and it is also the only one of the three where the visible evidence and the published number openly disagree. Take the 4.6 seriously and the quotes with salt.

If the four-state view is the reason you are booking, it is worth knowing you can want that view and the marker on the same trip, and they are 49 road miles apart. The viewpoint costs nothing extra inside a Mesa Verde day. The marker costs US$8 a head at a Navajo Nation gate that takes no advance booking from anyone. They are two different days out and only one of them is bookable.
